Tips and Tricks
FROM SCREAMDESIGN: HOW TO WAKE UP PAGES WITH TEXT EVENTS
An "event" is an action, such as a page opening after a link is clicked, a form resetting after a button is pressed, or a sound playing after an image is moused over. This sounds much more complicated than it really is; it merely means that when the user clicks somewhere on the page, something happens.

FrontPage has pre-scripted a number of DHTML (Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language) events so that you don't have to be a programmer to add event-based effects to your page. When these effects are applied to text, you suddenly have a dynamic, eye-catching page. To apply these effects to text:

1. Highlight the text.
2. Under Format, click Dynamic HTML Effects. The DHTML menu appears on the menu bar.
3. Choose an event handler from the left menu.
4. Choose an "Apply" method from the center menu.
5. If prompted, choose additional parameters from the rightmost menu.
For example, if you choose to have words fly off the page, you need to specify which direction they should fly.
