FRONTPAGE ADD-IN CENTER BUSY AND GROWING
The FrontPage Add-in Center Web site was launched last summer to help Microsoft partners, Web developers, and others create and share add-ins within the user community. At the Center, you can download or submit add-ins and exchange information. It didn't take long for word to spread with add-ins being downloaded over 160,000 times to date! And the number of new add-ins has grown more than 500% with 14 new ones posted in just the last week! FRONTPAGE-BASED WEB TEMPLATE MANUAL
Hardwick~Day, (hardwickday.com), was asked by Whittier College to develop a new design and template for the college’s FrontPage-based Web site. Hardwick~Day’s Web project lead, Tim Corwin, also created a Web template manual to help people within the Whittier College community understand the new web template and how to adhere to the same basic structure throughout the Web site when adding or updating various parts of it. The manual is full of excellent design tips for FrontPage users and can be found at:

WEB ACCESSIBILITY COURSE FOR FRONTPAGE
KEI Pearson, a subsidiary of NCS Pearson Inc. and HiSoftware, Inc., announced they are partnering to develop training in HiSoftware’s AccVerify and AccRepair accessibility add-ins for FrontPage. Web developers using Microsoft FrontPage will be able to take training classes from KEI Pearson that discuss US Federal government accessibility requirements and Section 508 compliance. The new course offering, which will provide full training on these accessibility verification and repair tools, will be available from KEI Pearson in April 2002 and be offered at their CTEC center, around the United States and worldwide. ADVANCED THEME CUSTOMIZATION
Microsoft FrontPage 2002 includes a theme named Blank, which you can use to create a unique theme from scratch. If you apply the Blank theme to your Web site, you will see that this is a fairly plain Theme. The Blank theme provides a list of built-in styles that you can modify to suit your purposes. When used in conjunction with a SharePoint Team Services-based Web site, the Blank theme provides a list of all the unique styles embedded in the team Web site, which you can modify to suit your needs.

CASCADING STYLE SHEETS: INTERNET EXPLORER 5.5 & 6
This article: “What's New for DHTML in Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Tools”, provides information about Internet Explorer 5.5’s improved support for the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) specification CSS1, with features such as borders, margin, and padding on inline elements, etc. This version of Internet Explorer also continues to support all the standards supported in previous releases, including leading support for technologies such as XML.
